I have a question, but I am too afraid to ask...
ASK! No question is a bad question, and it will be answered to the best of the Mods ability without giving too much away. We love to answer questions and are more than willing to answer them for you. Send us a PM, E-mail or leave us a comment, we will get back to you.
Are challenges and overrides accepted?
As far as challenges go, we are not really looking into that, if we have someone applying with a certain PB, we don't see the need for someone to challenge them. If their were premades here we could see a reason for having challenges, but they aren't necessarily needed here.
However, overrides, they will be put into effect, if there is a PB you want, but if already being used, but the person has not been active for over 3 weeks, we will put that PB on hold for another week, and if that player has still not shown any sign of life, the PB is yours.
How long are PB holds good for?
PBs will be held for approximately 48 hours at the maximum, if you fill out the application and are accepted within that time, the PB is yours.
How do the characters receive their mark and how it might effect them?
For the Mark, your character can receive their mark in the middle of their forehead. They could either have received it during a football game, at the mall, at school, any other public place of that sort, at home, while the were asleep etc. The Mark can appear at ANY TIME.
When they receive their Mark, their skin grows pale and their eyesight changes to the point it pains them to be out in the sun hence the reason they attend school at night, they develop a heavy cough that cough medicine will not cure. If they do not make it to the House of Night in time, they will die.
When do they start developing vampiric traits?
As for developing vampyre traits, this begins as soon as their Blue Mark appears on their foreheads, and it is the simple changes such as; blood lust, sensitivity to the sun, eye sight changes, however; it is around their fifth or sixth form, sometimes earlier, that they're Mark begins to become filled in.
Do their parents have to pay for their actions?
Some parents may not react as well as the others. Some of them are expecting this to happen to at least one of their kin due to their ancestors being a Vampyre, and others simply shun their children and send them off to the House of Night. To answer the question, No, parents are not required to pay for their young Vampyre's to attend the House of Night, however; no one in the HON is turning down a hefty donation.
What kind of PB is acceptable?
We like to keep things realistic here, so not every character in this game is going to look like they just came off of the Warped Tour, tour bus. Yes, they can have piercings, tattoos, scene hair and the works, but by no means are more mainstream actors/actresses and models shunned. However, we do NOT want to see just anyone as your PB, if we can't find them on google, they aren't acceptable, this means your friends from myspace.
Can the professors be played?
Yes, they are also acceptable in the game as long as you play them correctly.
The professors for each class isn't exactly a canon. You can make up their personality, history, how long they have been working for the HON etc.

What do the forms mean?
Forms for the House of Night can be simple, but they can also be confusing. Here is a quick run down of the forms we will be having here;
Third Form Age: 15-16
Fourth Form Age: 16-17
Fifth Form Age: 17-18
Sixth Form Age: 18-19
With each From comes new responsibilities, agilities and abilities. Depending on the Form of the Vampire will depend on who they are roomed with and what type of classes they will be taking.
When making our application, do we have to have a journal and rp example for you to look at?
Yes, both are required, you may send us a link, PM or email of your AIM RPing examples, and you must have a journal made for your character when applying. It isn't that hard to make a journal, or send us an example, the example does not need to be lengthy, but enough for us to get the right idea.
Can they have pets?
Of course, however, like pregnancy they must be brought up to the mods first, we would love to see some of the characters have a pet, but the limit per character is two, and must be run by the character's rooming mate as well, if your character does not have a roommate yet, then just ask the mods.
How long are pregnancies?
We know that 9 months is a long time, and no one is promising that in 9 months the community will be active, so because of that we are going to cut the 9 months into 5. Vampyre's having babies is rare at a young age, but if it happens they must wait 5 months. 5 months will also signify that Vampyre's don't have three trimesters and Vampyre babies are always pre-mature when born from two Vampyre's. Male pregnancies are banned.
